Professor Valérie Paradis will take over as Director of the Inflammation Research Center starting January 1st.
A renowned physician and researcher in anatomical pathology at Beaujon Hospital (AP-HP North), she specializes in the study of liver diseases.
She succeeds Professor Renato Monteiro, who has led the Center since 2014. The entire staff wishes to thank him for his ten years of leadership and innovations in research on inflammatory diseases and cancer.
The Center’s co-directorship remains in the capable hands of Ms. Sophie Lotersztajn, working closely with our General Secretary, Milene Berthelot.
Our priorities for the 2025-2030 mandate are clear:
- Continue cutting-edge fundamental and translational research on inflammatory and tumor pathologies while expanding our scope to pulmonary diseases.
- Develop innovative experimental and technological approaches.
- Strengthen our national and international collaborations.
- Encourage and support young researchers in their scientific and medical careers.
