A photo look back at the great success of the Bichat-Beaujon young researchers’ day.
Thanks to the Association des Jeunes Chercheurs de l’Hopital Grand Paris Nord for this wonderful day full of scientific exchanges bringing together the CRI, IAME, LVTS, U1152 and URP2496.

A huge thank you to our doctoral students and post-docs who presented them!

This day allowed each master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral student to present their work through an oral presentation or a poster.

This day was also an opportunity to popularize their master’s, thesis or post-doc project in three minutes, with the “Pitch your project” session.

Winners were awarded a prize for each session to recognize their work:

  • For the oral presentations:
    • Thibault de la Taille – “Functionalized polysaccharide nanoparticles for a targeted treatment of ischemic strokes”
    • Rémi Gschwind – “Identification of Cefiderocol Resistance Genes in the Environment using Functional Metagenomics”
  • For the posters:

    • Deepak Pokhreal – “Investigating the role of a novel immune receptor in regulating macrophage pro-fibrotic activity in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis”

    • Clarisse Schumer – “Building a theoretical model of viral dynamics for SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A co-infection”

    • Gaelle Merheb – “Effects of Omega-3 on Human Coronary Vascular Tone Induced by Neurotransmitters”

  • To pitch your project:

    • Pierre Grès – “Impact of Nexin-1 Protease in hemophilic arthropathy, a major complication of hemophilia”

    • Yasmine Benhadid-Brahmi – “Microbial and environmental determinants behind the evolutionary success of major bacterial clones”

The new Career Round Table under the theme “What’s next after my PhD/Postdoc?” allowed young researchers to exchange with former doctoral and postdoctoral students who are now working in public, academic or private careers. Thanks to:

  • Mathilde Maillard, Postdoc in 3D printing for biomedical applications, founder of Bien Dans Ma Thèse
  • Charles Cavaniol, Postdoc founder of his startup with DeepTech and iPhD support
  • Natália Breyner, Director of in vitro and in vivo model studies at Physiogenex
  • Maite Casado Bedmar, Medical Affairs Rare Diseases – PhD MBA
  • Sandra Sanfilippo, LifeScience Researcher – R&D project leader at Stago
  • Jad Eid, research professor in Bioinformatics and Biophysics in a (private) engineering school
  • Etienne Becht, Research de Recherche INSERM after working 4 years at Servier

Thanks again to everyone for this excellent day.
See you next year for the 5th JCBB day.
