Since 2004, middle and high school students have been welcomed in pairs to laboratories to carry out a research project over a school year. Young people are supervised by research professionals and thus discover science in the making, appropriate the scientific approach and broaden their horizons. Like researchers, at the end of the year, they present their work orally at the Apprentis Chercheurs conferences.

From May 11 to June 22, 2022: 23 Apprentice Researcher congresses take place in France and overseas

This year, the CRI welcomes 3 pairs supervised by doctoral students or design engineers.

 

A national system coordinated by The Tree of Knowledge

The Tree of Knowledge is a national association founded in 2004 by researchers to foster dialogue between science producers and society.
In 2022, Apprentis Chercheurs brings together a network of 38 research centers and 82 schools in mainland France and overseas who are committed to strengthening the links between science and society.
Thus the device contributes to:

  • give a taste for science through the practice and experimentation of the scientific approach
  • emancipate young people: make them exercise critical thinking, autonomy, self-confidence, self-esteem
  • raising awareness and training research professionals in scientific mediation
