Assignment : Unit 1149 – Inflammation Research Center (CRI), Paris

About the structure: The Center for Research on Inflammation (CRI), a joint research unit (Inserm/Université de Paris Cité/CNRS), is directed by Prof. Valérie Paradis. The CRI is located in the Bichat Faculty of Medicine building. It comprises fourteen research teams divided into three scientific departments, plus two junior groups. The CRI employs around 330 people: researchers, lecturers and hospital staff, engineers, technicians and students, as well as a number of technical platforms and specialized facilities. The CRI’s financial management department is part of the research support services headed by General Secretary Milène Berthelot. The financial management department monitors some 150 research contracts worth €20 million, as well as revenues from 7 platforms.

Tasks: Implement, monitor and control the budgetary procedure within the Inflammation Research Center in collaboration with internal and external players in a multi-year context.

Main activities:

  • Monitor financial operations in conjunction with supervisory authorities
  • Monitor the state-granted budget of the Inflammation Research Center
  • Management of contracts and invitations to tender within the structure, in liaison with the purchasing department
  • Create and maintain financial dashboards
  • Monitor the execution and justification of different types of research contracts, particularly European contracts
  • Support in setting up projects
  • Provide advice and monitor regulations in the field of management
  • Propose and implement procedures within the financial management department
  • Monitoring service platform pricing and revenues
  • File and archive supporting documents for financial and/or accounting operations
  • Monitor invoice payments in conjunction with the regional delegation’s billing department
  • Monitor the execution of expenses: check receipts outside the warehouse with the various departments, check order commitments, check internal charging of expenses, balance orders, check invoices and payments in liaison with the Regional Delegation and suppliers.

Associated activities: Participation in the organization of Research Center conferences and events.

  • Ability to communicate in French and English and manage relations with internal and external contacts (researchers, sales representatives, suppliers, administrative staff).
  • Know how to use software specific to the activity.

Job specification(s) and environment: Working as part of a team, possibility of training, external meetings.

Desired experience: Two to three years after BTS or Bachelor’s degree

Diploma(s) required: Bac+2 or Bac+3 in Management or Accounting

Diploma required: Minimum level 5 diploma (formerly III).

Remuneration: According to the salary scale corresponding to the recruiting body, seniority according to level of experience and a compensation scheme (RIFSEEP) corresponding to the position held.
