The platform offers MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation) mass spectrometry imaging experiments on frozen or fixed tissues for the analysis of proteins, peptides, lipids and metabolites. To this end, we have the equipment needed to produce tissue sections (cryomicrotome, microtome), process the slides according to the analyses sought, acquire data by mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF-TOF) and process the data statistically.
In addition to carrying out these experiments, the platform provides users who so wish with the equipment they need to carry out mass spectrometry imaging studies, along with training.
