On 10 April 2026, the first INFIBREX & INFIRE Scientific Day took place, an event dedicated to scientific exchange and translational research.
This event brought together more than 100 participants, including researchers, clinicians, early-career researchers and students, to discuss a central theme: From cellular interactions to inter-organ communication
Throughout the day, speakers and participants explored a number of key scientific issues, including:
- Renal inflammation and fibrosis in chronic diseases
- Lung-joint interactions: the example of rheumatoid arthritis
- Autologous immune organoids for studying the development of paediatric cancers
- The complement system as a key player in intercellular communication
The programme also featured several high-quality short talks, showcasing the dynamism, talent and commitment of the new generation of researchers.
