The Centre for Inflammation Research has three scientific divisions:
Area 1 – Pathophysiology of inflammatory and fibrotic diseases
Identify common features of inflammatory mechanisms in immune, endothelial and fibroblast cells (lung/kidney/digestive tract)
Area 2 – Oncogenic inflammation & tumor development
Decipher the sequence of pro-oncogenic events in the context of inflammation Characterize tumor heterogeneity via the tumor microenvironment
Axis 3 – Signaling and dynamics of immune cells
Describe the molecular mechanisms of the inflammatory response, in particular oxidative stress and intracellular traffic
