CRI is launching an international call to recruit a junior group leader to develop basic and translational research projects in the field of chronic inflammatory diseases, fibrosis and cancer.
The Center for Research in Inflammation (https://cri1149.fr/) is an internationally recognized research center in basic, translational and clinical research on inflammatory diseases, fibrosis and cancer. The center is located in the North of Paris and hosts fourteen research teams and two junior groups with more than 330 members, organized into three transversal research axes (Pathophysiology of inflammatory and fibrotic diseases; oncogenic inflammation and tumor development; Immunology, Signaling and Cellular dynamics). The Institute is located within the Faculty of Medicine of Paris Cité University (Bichat Hospital) in Paris, fostering strong collaborations with clinical departments of the Bichat, Beaujon and Robert Debré Hospitals, including the departments of Hepatology and digestive diseases, Pathology, Intensive care, Nephrology, Pneumology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, and offering privileged access to human samples. The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art on-site core facilities, including in vivo and molecular multiplex imaging, conventional and spectral flow cytometers, biochemistry and metabolic platforms as well as animal core facilities. Our research center offers a unique opportunity for career development in an exciting, open and collaborative environment. The site has an active seminar program and hosts regular training sessions in immunology, pathophysiology, molecular and cellular biology as well as an international Master’s program in inflammation and inflammatory diseases.
Candidates with key competences in organ inflammation, immunopathology, cancer development, bioinformatics and imaging are welcome. Selection of candidates will be based on outstanding quality of their scientific record, project and ability to interact with existing research teams and clinicians of the site. The newly recruited research group will benefit from state-of-the-art research equipment, appropriate laboratory and office space as well as access to all core facilities. The successful candidate will benefit from a starting package and will be supported in their applications for national and international funding, as well as for an appointment as a permanent position researcher, within one of our national institutions.
