Comparison of molecular profiles acquired by MALDI imaging on all fixed tissue sections identified the presence of both tumor components (hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma), and revealed intricate microscopic tumor areas not spotted under the microscope. This work presents a new application of MALDI imaging ( <em>in silico<\/em> imaging) offering a virtual multiplex immunohistochemistry approach.  <\/p>\n<p>Here is the type of image and analysis obtained with MALDI imaging:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" wp-image-66503 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cri1149.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Elia-Maldi-300x115.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"207\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\"><em>Segmentation analysis superimposed on immunohistochemistry performed on successive slices of a hepatocholangiocarcinoma.
