Etienne Becht<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Etienne Becht has recently joined Val\u00e9rie Paradis’ team as an\u00a0Charg\u00e9 de Recherche\u00a0(INSERM)<\/p>\n

Etienne is a bioinformatician and onco-immunologist. He carried out his thesis at the Cordeliers Research Center with Herv\u00e9 Fridman and Aur\u00e9lien de Reyni\u00e8s, where he developed a deconvolution method to study the composition of the immune microenvironment from the tissue transcriptome. Its application has made it possible to characterize the immune microenvironment of molecular subgroups of colon and kidney cancers. He then carried out a post-doctoral fellowship in Singapore with Evan Newell on mass cytometry, where he developed or studied new analysis algorithms (Hypergate, UMAP) and participated in the identification and characterization of non-T lymphocytes. specific infiltrating human tumors. Etienne then did a second postdoc in Seattle with Raphael Gottardo, where he applied supervised learning methods to improve phenotyping in flow cytometry. Before being recruited at INSERM, Etienne worked in R&D at Servier where he was able to supervise two CIFRE thesis students. In Val\u00e9rie Paradis’ team, Etienne will work on an exhaustive phenotypic characterization of the microenvironment throughout hepatic carcinogenesis.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Camille Cohen<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Camille Cohen is an MD-PhD trained in Paris. In parallel with his clinical training, with a particular interest in monoclonal gammopathy of renal importance, he followed scientific training focused on the mechanisms of progression of chronic kidney disease. After obtaining his doctorate at Paris Cit\u00e9 University in the laboratory of Fabiola Terzi at INEM, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Fatima Mechta-Grigoriou at the Institut Curie in Paris (specialist in the heterogeneity of fibroblasts in the cancer microenvironment) to better understand fibroblastic heterogeneity during the development of renal fibrosis. Then, he carried out a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Edinburgh, in the laboratory of Jeffrey Pollard, to better decipher the interaction between fibroblasts and macrophages during the development of chronic kidney disease. Finally, back in France, Camille Cohen joined the nephrology department of Bichat Hospital and the CRI in order to create her team focused on renal complications of monoclonal immunoglobulin deposits.
