CRI<\/strong> ‘s research themes reflect the vast field of inflammation.<\/p>\n

Teams work on a wide range of research topics, including inflammation of various organs (kidneys, intestines, liver); regulation of antigen presentation; the role of mast cells and basophils in autoimmune and sterile inflammation; and the contribution of phagocytes, NADPH-oxidases and heme iron to inflammatory disease.<\/p>\n

The interface between inflammation and cancer of the liver and pancreas; viral hepatitis; the response of the intestine to surgery; and the use of imaging methods to detect and quantify the severity of inflammation and fibrosis as well as cancer round out the wide range of topics addressed by CRI research teams.<\/p>\n

The excellence of the Centre’s publications, the numerous grants obtained and the number of patents and licenses filed testify to the high quality of the research carried out by all the CRI teams.<\/p>\n
